In the Nizhniy Novgorod region preparation for celebrating of the 75 anniversary of transpolar non-stop flight of crew of Valery Tchkalov has begun
The assistant to the governor of the Nizhniy Novgorod region Gennady Suvorov has held the first session of organizing committee on carrying out of the actions devoted to the 75 anniversary of non-stop flight of crew of V.P. Chkalov on a route: Moscow - the North Pole – Vancouver (USA).
Opening meeting, Gennady Suvorov has noticed that the XXI-st century beginning is marked by many anniversaries in the history of formation and development of domestic aircraft. They are connected with conquest of Arctic regions, the North Pole, realization of transpolar non-stop flights, with life and activity of remarkable pilots – the first Heroes of Soviet Union who are national pride of Russia.
«One of them – the Hero of Soviet Union, our fellow countryman, êîìáðèã Valery Pavlovich Chkalov. In 2012 75 years since flight of crew of V.P.Tchkalov on a route are executed: Moscow - the North Pole - Vancouver (USA) after which the name of our legendary fellow countryman became widely known all over the world. About one today V.P. Chkalov remains a great example of will, courage and love for the country», - the assistant to the governor.
According to Gennady Suvorov, the order of the Government of the Nizhniy Novgorod region confirms organizing committee structure on carrying out of anniversary actions. The project of the Plan of measures is prepared.
«The complex of prospective actions will be realized in 2010-2012 with use of budgets of three levels (regional, regional, federal), and also off-budget means. The basic celebrations will pass in Chkalovsk», - Gennady Suvorov has added.
The assistant to the governor also has informed that the Plan provides carrying out ïðîòèâîàâàðèéíûõ and restoration works of the memorial house of V.P. Chkalov, reconstruction of Recreation center of V.P. Chkalov, civil-engineering design working out ôîíäîõðàíèëèùà V.P. Chkalov's museum, restoration of planes ANT-25 and È-17, exposition updating in V.P. Chkalov's memorial museum. Besides, film creation, release of souvenir and polygraphic production, an accomplishment of territory of a memorial zone, sports competitions is planned.
The total sum of expenses within the limits of realization of celebratory actions will make 86 million 113 thousand roubles. Including: expenses of the regional budget will make 69 million 941 thousand roubles, federal - 8 million 541 thousand roubles, local – 7 million 161 thousand roubles, other sources - 470 thousand roubles.
As Gennady Suvorov hasn'ted, event of such scale demands coverage of many aspects of life. «Celebrating of anniversary event is considered as an important step to the decision of problems on youth education on an example of service to the Native land of the legendary pilot», - he has told.
