1. the Memorial house - wooden, one-storeyed house with an attic, built in 1896. In 1956 the building was transferred some way off the shore, away from the dangerous zone in connection with construction of the Gorky sea (a water reservoir).
The display area of a museum makes 136 sq.m. (7 halls and a corridor). The building houses the exposition devoted to life and activity of V.P.Tckalov. The principal part of the display is made of articles of V.P.Tckalov's family life, Tchkalov's personal belongings, photos, and documents.
The display area of the hangar is 800 sq.m. It houses unique planes connected with V.P.Tckalov's work as a pilot. Some extra large-sized units of the exposition are also displayed there.
